On March 31st, my latest novel, "Grave Decisions," was released from Austin Macauley Publishing Company. I have been bouncing around with different publishers, because I wasn't ready to be locked into anything permanently binding. More and more, I am leaning towards " Self Publishing" platforms, but there is a lot of investigative work I will have to do before I try it. My husband thinks we should stay with Archway Publishing for the rest of the " Hanover Heights" collection, so I'm also looking into that. I really do appreciate all the work Archway puts into their clients. Lots of decisions for me to think about, but let's get back to " Grave Decisions", for a moment...

I know this sounds strange, but the inspiration from this novel came when I saw a friend struggling with being seperated from her grown children and grandchildren. The emotion was real, and immediately the wheels started spinning in my head. Everything else in the story was completely fictitious, but I do draw from other experiences, or things I have seen or experienced throughout my life. But I really just wanted to honor my father, and write a spooky story. Those were his favorite! So I took a little of everything and started to write... A woman struggling with sobriety... Her family estranged...A ghostly apparition on a dark highway and how her life becomes turned upside down as she investigates a decades old murder mystery.

Sometimes, you start with a clear idea, concept and outline and you know exactly what your character's path will be, obstacles and all.... But then in the course of writing, the pen literally takes over and starts writing something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! It's quite frustrating, but the process is magical and you really just have to trust your intuition and roll with it. So, that's what I did. I hope you enjoy the book. You can find it at Amazon, or Austin Macauley's web page... and numerous other sites across the globe! Reviews are so important to authors, so when you finish reading it, please go to one of those sites and leave a review for me. I'm so grateful.
